FAQs

How do I find my ring size?

To find your perfect ring size, I would recommend snagging a ring sizer off of amazon, visiting your local jeweler for a fitting or exploring other online resources.

Here are some tips to keep in mind:

Temperature Tango: Make sure your fingers aren’t feeling too hot or too cold, as this can play tricks on your sizing!

The Perfect Fit: Your ring should hug your finger snugly without sliding off or requiring a heroic effort to slip on.

Time and Weather Wonders: Remember, your finger size can dance around a bit depending on the time of day and the weather.

* Please note * Returns will not be given if you order the wrong ring size, so please be mindful of this when ordering <3

Do you offer repairs?

Absolutely. I take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of my jewelry, but I understand that accidents can happen.

If your Avery Nicole Jewelry piece is damaged under normal wear, I'm happy to evaluate it for repair. For most repairs, I simply ask that you cover the cost of shipping your jewelry to and from my studio.

More extensive repairs, replacement stones, or repairs resulting from accidental damage may require an additional repair fee. I'll always discuss any costs with you before beginning the work.

For any repair inquiries, please contact me at contact@averynicolejewelry.com

How do I take care of my jewelry?

I create jewelry designed to endure a lifetime, however it’s not indestructible. With proper care, your pieces will remain beautiful for years to come. Below are general care guidelines to help you protect your jewelry.

  • Store Properly: Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place when not being worn. A jewelry box or soft pouch is ideal to protect your pieces from moisture, air exposure, and scratches.
  • Moisture and Chemicals: Remove your jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, cleaning, or applying lotions, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. Excess exposure to moisture and chemicals can accelerate wear and dull the surface of all metals over time.
  • Cleaning and Polishing: Sterling silver naturally develops a patina over time when exposed to air and moisture. This is completely normal and can be easily removed. Gently polish your piece with a soft polishing cloth (included with every order). You can also clean it using warm water, mild dish soap (such as Dawn), and a soft-bristle toothbrush to reach detailed areas. Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.
Gold is highly durable and does not tarnish, but it can still accumulate oils and lose its shine with daily wear. Clean gently with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush or cloth as needed.
Platinum does not tarnish and is extremely durable. Over time, it will develop a natural soft patina that many people love for its satin-like finish. It can be professionally polished if a brighter finish is preferred.
  • Everyday Wear: Be mindful of impact and abrasion. Avoid dropping your jewelry or exposing it to rough surfaces, as this can cause scratches, dents, or loosening of stones over time.
  • Final Note: With regular care and mindful wear, your jewelry will continue to age beautifully and remain as stunning as the day you first received it. If you ever have questions or need guidance, I’m always happy to help!

With proper care, your sterling silver jewelry will remain as stunning as the day you first received it. If you have any questions or need additional care tips, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Do you do custom order?

Yes—custom work is one of my favorite parts of being a jeweler.

The process starts by reaching out via email at contact@averynicolejewelry.com or Instagram DM! Please include as much information as possible, including:

  • Inspiration or reference photos
  • Your preferred metal
  • Stone preference (if applicable)
  • Ring size (if known)
  • Your budget (optional, but helpful)
  • A little context about the piece (engagement ring, wedding band, birthday gift, anniversary, heirloom redesign, etc.)

The more details you can provide, the better I'll be able to bring your vision to life!

After reviewing your inquiry, I'll ask any necessary follow-up questions before providing a quote. Depending on the project, I'll also create a digital rendering or design concept. This design phase typically takes up to one week.

To begin your custom piece, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Production typically takes 4–6 weeks after the design is finalized, although rush orders may be available for an additional fee.

Once your piece is complete, I'll send photos for your approval before collecting the remaining balance and shipping your jewelry.

What metals and gemstones do you offer?

I work in:

  • Sterling Silver (.925)
  • Fine Silver (.999)
  • 10k, 14k & 18k Yellow Gold
  • 10k, 14k & 18k Unplated White Gold
  • Platinum

I do not offer rhodium plating or other metal plating services.

I also work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds and gemstones, allowing us to choose materials that best fit your style, budget, and priorities. I strive to source stones from trusted suppliers who share my commitment to ethical sourcing.

Can I use my own gemstones or old jewelry?

Absolutely! I'm happy to create a piece using gemstones you've purchased or inherited.

Because I haven't personally sourced customer-provided stones, I require a signed jewelry intake form and liability waiver before work begins.

I also accept precious metal scrap as trade-in credit toward your custom piece. In some cases, I'm able to recycle sentimental jewelry into a new design, depending on the condition and type of metal.

Shipping and Processing Times?

Thank you so much for supporting my small business!

For ready-to-ship pieces, orders are typically processed and shipped within 2–5 business days.

For made-to-order pieces, please allow 7–10 business days (unless otherwise noted on the item description) for production before your order ships, as each piece is handmade by me after purchase.

You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.

Once your order has been handed off to the shipping carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx), it is considered in transit and is no longer under the direct control of Avery Nicole Jewelry.

For peace of mind, all packages include shipping insurance. In the rare event that a package is lost in transit, it will be covered through the carrier’s insurance process.

If your package appears lost or delayed, please first contact your local post office or carrier for updates, and then reach out to me so I can assist in filing a claim and help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If you notice an error, contact me as soon as possible so it can be corrected before your order ships.

Do you ship outside the US?

At this time, international shipping is not available through my website checkout. However, I am still able to ship internationally on a case-by-case basis.

If you are located outside the United States and would like to place an order, please email me directly. I’ll be happy to work with you to arrange your order manually outside of the website.

International orders will be invoiced separately for both the jewelry and shipping costs. Shipping rates will vary depending on your location and will be higher than domestic shipping, so please be prepared for additional costs.

Once payment is received, I will personally process and ship your order. I’m actively working toward making international checkout available directly through my website in the future.
